 | Serves as a resource guide and model for
parents and staff for early childhood programs. |
 | Serve as tutor and mentor for grade school
students. |
 | Support parent enrollment or patron
tracking through recruitment, intake, record keeping, database management,
correspondence, mailings, and other clerical duties related to parent
tutoring. |
 | Maintain a journal of daily activities. |
 | Recruit community volunteers to serve in
activities. |
 | Conduct weekly family literacy activities. |
 | Develop and implement afternoon, evening,
and weekend activities for grade school students. |
 | Participate in all AmeriCorps training
workshops and member development activities. |
 | Assist with Special Programs and Events. |
 |
Prepare reports and related
data to track student progress and demonstrate service activities. |
 | Develop and implement special projects
supporting family literacy. |
 | Meet with teachers and parents at
student’s school to discuss life goals, grades, etc. |
 | Help supervise students/youth. |
 | Complete other appropriate activities as
assigned by the Project Coordinator. |
